INTRODUCTION
Hello! I'm Paul The Kid, a producer, mix engineer and composer from Auckland, New Zealand.
I love to produce and mix bangers!
I've been producing and mixing music for myself, bands and solo artists for the last two decades. Over this time I've developing a deep understanding of how to create movement, feel and emotion in music and this is what mixing is all about.
I work with a wide range of genres with my roots in hip-hop, modern pop / indie, alternative, dub reggae and EDM. I have my own style and love to collaborate with artists to enhance their vision.

MIXING
Mixing is the art of balancing each element in a song so that they interact and play off each other to create a full and cohesive feeling.
Mixing is essential for bringing music to life and it is how we get the emotion of a song to be felt by the listener.
There are so many ways to mix a song and I am here to help you get the exact vibe that you are going for with your music!

PRODUCTION
Production for me is taking your demo, song, rough recording and fleshing it out into a full production. This can mean adding drums, bass, guitars, keys, and anything you think your song needs to elevate it to your vision.
Songs can be produced in an infinite amount of ways and I am here to help you figure out how you want you music to sound.

How do I get started?

I'll get back to you ASAP.
How should I export my stems / tracks?
​
All files must be WAV files at 24 bit and at a sampling rate of 44.1khz to 192khz. (Standard is 24 bit 44.1khz). All tracks should be comped and exported from the beginning of the whole project (at the start of the first bar) so everything lines up. Please include the BPM/Tempo if you recorded to a metronome.
Do you accept Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Garageband etc sessions?

No, sorry.
I have poor quality recording, can you make it radio ready?
​
I HIGHLY recommend you re-record before proceeding to the mixing and mastering stage as there's only so much you can do to fix a poor recording.
Can I ask for revisions?
​
Yes, of course. There may be an additional charge depending on the work needed. I am happy to discuss everything with you during the process.
Do you produce and record music?

Yes! I love to produce music and I help artists with their songs, arrangements and sound selection.
